For Questions on Gardening, Horticulture & More, email the Sandoval Master Gardeners Helpline: emailhelpline@sandovalmastergardeners.org.
We are honored to have over 150 volunteer Master Gardeners in Sandoval County that have been trained and educated by NMSU to help serve the communities in sustainable high desert gardening.
Please contact the Master Gardener helpline to make arrangements. emailhelpline@sandovalmastergardeners.org. Please also provide a photo as many times diseases or insects can be identified from photos. Email to the above address or sandoval@nmsu.edu. Leave your name, address, telephone number, and, of course, your email.
You may email emailhelpline@sandovalmastergardeners.org or sandoval@nmsu.edu or call (505) 867-2582. Due to the slow mail process, NMSU Extension Plant Sciences would prefer no samples be mailed to them after Monday by noon each week. The sample must fit in no larger than a 9.5 X12.5 USPS padded envelope. The charge for shipping plant samples will be the current USPS Priority Mail cost for a padded flat rate envelope. Pay by check or money order only for postage/shipping costs (no credit cards) made payable to Sandoval County Extension. You must complete the online Plant Specimen Submission Form (PDF).
NMSU no longer provides soil testing. Colorado State University has generously agreed to provide soil test analysis for New Mexico. For information, cost and instructions to mail your sample contact them here: Soil, Water and Plant Testing Lab.
